The ESG ambassador’s role was created in April 2022.

ESG ambassadors are employees who volunteer to spread the ESG culture within the group through local initiatives and Climate Fresks.

They received a nomination letter signed by the CEO and the VP HR & ESG as well as an annual budget of 1,000€.

When joining, the ESG ambassadors committed to:

  • Attend regular ESG ambassadors’ meetings in APAC, NAM and EMEA.

  • Facilitate Climate Fresks and 2tons Workshops to educate employees on Climate Change.

  • Carry out ESG local initiatives that benefit employees.

Three groups of ambassadors were formed in the 3 main geographies of Bollé Brands (APAC, EMEA, NAM) with a total of 15 ESG Ambassadors, which corresponds to ~5% of the workforce.

Climate Fresks and 2tons workshops:

To ensure that all employees share the same level of knowledge about climate change, Climate Fresk and 2 tons workshops have been rolled out in all regions and facilitated by local ESG ambassadors. These 3-hour workshops enable employees to understand the causes and consequences of climate change, as well as the key orders of magnitude. The group aimed to train 100% of employees (long-term contracts) by 2024. This indicator is published in our ESG report and externally audited as part of our ISO 9001 certification.

By March 2024, 100% of employees had taken part in a Climate Fresk or 2 tons workshop. Since then, this rate has fallen to 70%, due to staff turnover.

FY26

events

ESG ambassadors’ feedback has been sought this year to review the ESG bonus rules for FY26, which are now consistent across all regions.

In FY26, it is planned to build relationships with the 5 NGOs supported through Bollé Safety’s 1% for the planet membership. There are opportunities to organize joint actions and events with these organizations, such as beach clean ups.

ESG AMBASSADORS FEEDBACK:

Tamara Mika (AU):

"One of the best parts of being an ESG ambassador is being able to share my passion for environmental and social causes that are close to my heart. Last year I was able to help collect items for Share the Dignity, a local charity collecting handbags of personal care products for women and girls in need of a helping hand.”

Kathryn Whiteside (AU):

“My contribution to the APAC ESG team is predominately to drive social and wellbeing initiatives that contribute to both our communities and our workplace culture. In the Melbourne office, programs like the Canine Companion Program and our weekly Movement & Merriment sessions have become simple yet meaningful ways to promote connection and mental wellbeing. Group volunteering opportunities have also proven to be a great way to give back while strengthening team bonds.”
