ATEX (ATmosphere EXplosive) zones are envi- ronments with a great risk of fire or explosion. Even the smallest electrostatic charge may create a spark that ignite gases or dust.
Electrostatic certified eyewear have been
tested to ensure they have minimal electrostatic risks and that they can be safely used in ATEX zones.

Non-electrical products that do not have their own ignition source do not have an ‘EX ’ marking because they do not fit into the standard. The Electrostatic certificates announced are voluntary certificates evaluated by an independent notified body ATEX 2014/34/UE (INERIS).
