SEAMLESS FAQ
Everything you need to know about the SEAMLESS Program, your SEAMLESS card and ordering your prescription safety eyewear online.
About SEAMLESS
What is SEAMLESS?
SEAMLESS is a 100% digital platform that makes prescription safety eyewear accessible to everyone, everywhere. All you need is a device with a camera (computer, tablet or mobile phone) and an internet connection.
The service simplifies how companies purchase protective eyewear with corrective lenses. It uses advanced technology to accurately measure your pupillary distance and offers single vision or progressive lenses. A team of Bollé Safety opticians is available remotely to answer your questions.
How does it work?
- Log in to the SEAMLESS platform with your SEAMLESS card.
- Measure your pupillary distance and try on frames virtually.
- Customise your prescription safety eyewear.
- Upload your prescription and confirm your order.
Who is the SEAMLESS Program for?
The program is designed for companies of all sizes whose employees need protective eyewear with corrective lenses. Employees receive a SEAMLESS card from their company and use it to order their own prescription safety eyewear online.
How can my company set up the program?
Contact our team to find out how the SEAMLESS Program can be rolled out in your company and which range applies in your country.
Your SEAMLESS card
How can I get a SEAMLESS card?
SEAMLESS cards are issued by companies to their employees. If you need prescription safety eyewear for your job, and especially if you already wear Bollé Safety glasses at work, check with your company to see if it uses the SEAMLESS Program.
What card formats are available?
There are two formats:
- Physical cards, available in batches of 5.
- Digital cards, which can be issued individually.
Whatever the format, each SEAMLESS card gives access to ordering prescription safety eyewear.
How do I use my SEAMLESS card?
Before you start, make sure you have a valid prescription ready to upload, ideally with at least 6 months left before it expires. You can scan or photograph a printed prescription, or save a digital copy to your device.
Then go to the SEAMLESS page, enter your Serial Number and Key ID, and configure your prescription safety eyewear.
How long is my SEAMLESS card valid?
To check the expiry date, enter the Batch ID of your card on the card expiry page. If you don't have your Batch ID, try logging in to the SEAMLESS form: if the login works, your codes are still valid and the expiry date is displayed at the top of the webpage.
What should I do if my card is not working?
The issue is usually the Key ID. A Key ID always has 4 digits. If you received a digital card with a 3-digit Key ID, add a 0 in front of it.
Example: if your Key ID is 123 and it doesn't work, enter 0123.

Lenses & frames
What lens options are available?
All lenses are certified polycarbonate lenses, available in single vision or progressive design. Depending on the frame, maximum power ranges are -12/+10, cylinder up to 5 and addition from 0.75 to 3.5.
- Clear for indoor use, with PLATINUM &/or AR coating.
- Smoke (grey) for outdoor use, with PLATINUM &/or AR coating.
- Photochromic for indoor and outdoor use, with PLATINUM &/or AR coating.
- Polarised for outdoor use, with PLATINUM coating.
PLATINUM is Bollé Safety's exclusive anti-fog and anti-scratch coating.
The range may vary from country to country. Contact us for the range that applies to you.
Can I choose progressive lenses?
Yes. Our progressive design doesn't require a visit to an optician to measure fitting height. Our AI-driven technology analyses your individual characteristics to manufacture personalised progressive lenses for optimal comfort and precision.
Is prism correction available?
No. The SEAMLESS Program cannot accommodate prism corrections. If your prescription includes a prism, please contact us.
Which frames can I choose from?
The program includes a selection of Bollé Safety flagship models to cover the needs of every user. You'll see all available frames in the SEAMLESS form. The range may vary from country to country.
Prescription & PD
Do I need a prescription?
Yes. You'll need to upload a valid prescription to complete your order so our opticians can manufacture your lenses accurately. We recommend having an eye exam to get the most up-to-date prescription possible, and making sure all details are clearly visible on the copy you upload.
What is the difference between single vision and progressive lenses?
Single vision lenses have one correction value across the whole lens, for either distance vision (driving, for example) or near vision (reading).
Progressive lenses combine several correction values in one lens, so you can see both far and near with a single pair of glasses.
How do I read my prescription?
- SPH
- Sphere. Lens power for short-sightedness (-) or long-sightedness (+).
- CYL
- Cylinder. Corrects astigmatism, with a (+) or (-) sign.
- AXIS
- Position of the cylinder, between 1 and 180.
- PD
- Pupillary distance. The distance between the centres of your pupils.
- ADD
- Addition for near vision (progressive lenses), always with a (+) sign. You may also see DV (distance vision) and NV (near vision).
- PRISM
- Corrects double vision or vision displacement. Not available with the SEAMLESS Program.
How long is a prescription valid?
We recommend an eye test every 2 years, or sooner if your optician advises it. The right interval depends on your age and health. For a SEAMLESS order, your prescription should ideally have at least 6 months left before it expires.
What is PD (pupillary distance)?
Pupillary distance is the distance, in millimetres, between the centres of your pupils. It's used to align each lens correctly in front of each eye. An accurate PD ensures sharp vision and helps prevent discomfort and eye strain.
PD can be a single number (for example 64) or two numbers (for example 31/33). Two numbers are preferable for made-to-measure eyewear.
What if I don't know my PD?
No problem. The SEAMLESS form includes a digital tool that measures your PD with your device's camera. You'll find it in the second step of the form.
Choosing your frame
How can I check if a frame suits me?
Choosing the right frame and size ensures your glasses are comfortable and secure. There are three ways to check:
- Virtual try-on. In the second step of the form, after measuring your PD, try on each frame with our augmented reality experience. For frames available in several sizes, you can try each size.
- Fitting guide. Each frame comes with a fitting guide showing lens width, bridge width and temple length. Compare these with a pair of glasses you already own.
- Your current glasses. If you already have a pair that fits well, look for Bollé Safety frames with a similar shape and measurements.
