Received ideas - Comfort

Let's separate the myths from the facts surrounding eye protection
Protective glasses, I can't stand them

Finding the right model requires time, often a trial and fit period. But with the Bollé Safety models, everyone can find a comfortable fit, perfectly adapted to their face shape, since some models exist in several sizes. While PPE creates a constraint, everything is done to keep it to a minimum thanks to our innovations in terms of design and ergonomics.

Bollé Safety protective glasses have fantastic optical quality and do not distort vision. Occasionally, curved designs hinder some people, but this can actually reveal an underlying or not yet diagnosed visual defect. If you notice this you should seek an assessment with an optometrist.
Protective glasses affect my vision

Wearing safety equipment hinders my ability to work.

To ensure this isn't the case the frame and the lenses must be carefully selected to match the tasks associated with each workstation therefore ensuring optimum working comfort. At Bollé Safety we understand very well the constraints of each job and the most appropriate eyewear solution.

Example? For chemical risks, the CR39 is more efficient while polycarbonate is better on mechanical risks.

If this is the case it is likely they are dirty or in poor condition (e.g. scratched or smudged). To resolve this you must either give them a proper clean or if the damage is too great change to a new pair. In case of reflections that are annoying at work, an anti-reflective treatment must be applied for more comfort and less visual fatigue. It is also good to know, prescription glasses with progressive lenses require about 3 weeks of adaptation to become quite comfortable.
Safety glasses give me headaches !

With vibrations and heat, glasses tend to slip.

That's why Bollé Safety has developed TPR (Thermo Plastic Rubber) models with exceptional anti-slip performance. With an ideal balance of rubber and plastic, this very resistant material has a soft and pleasant texture. Both flexible and anti-slip, it resists vibrations and extreme temperatures while also absorbing shocks.
